Deja Vu

Unbelievable – or is it, really?

Same city, 5 years later, and oh so much has changed. As Shanghai has gone through all these renewals, with yet many more to come (remember, seeing cranes among the buildings of the city skyline gives hope for a better future), the core remains the same.

I would like to think so about myself, too.

I adapt to new places, situations, people. Yet I hope that after all of these experiences in between, I still am “me”.

Either way, a new city and a new life await me. This is my third time moving to China and sacrifices had to be made. Then again, three’s the charm.
